Daenerys Targaryen - A scene from Game of Thrones S7 Ep5 right before she kills Randyll Tarly and his Son ("Dracarys!!"). This painting has a double meaning for me. I painted it at a time when my 21 year old daughter was being mean & hurtful to me. The scene depicts Dany's killer instinct; but her character also has heart and the ability to show mercy. Likewise, that's my daughter. The ability to be kind, or kill with words... it's all just a "choice of Power".

These two paintings accompany the larger framed painting of Jon Snow on the right as a Triptych. Their color scheme is all the same (like the cold day in the scene) though this photo above doesn't capture it well. The three paintings depict the "Hardhomme" episode (S5 Ep8) of Game of Thrones where Jon Snow sees the Night King for the first time. The Night King is the framed painting at the top. The painting below it is of the valiant female Wildling who, after getting her daughters on a boat to safety, stayed to fight the Wights, and lost her battle and was 'turned' into a Wight herself. In the scene where she turns into a Wight, she sits abruptly upright like a robot, with her eyes glowing a stone cold blue - the signature of a human turned into a Wight.  It was a spine chilling scene!!

Hardhomme, S5 Episode 8. Jon Snow, as he stands on a boat drifting away from the chaos as the Night King stares back at him with arms raised- showing his power & might in his ability to turn the Wildlings into Wights for his own bidding. Jon Snow's facial expression in the scene has a mixture of awe, confusion & fear. That's the expression I hoped to capture here.

The Paintings as a trio...which hangs proudly in my living room!
